First
class. The car itself was 860,000 yen after discount, but with tax,
insurance etc., it came to more than one million yen altogether, so
it was more than I expected.
Really.
I'd like a car too, but I can't really afford one. In England, I drove
a 1967 red MG Roadster, which I took over from my elder brother, but
I got rid of it before I came to Japan.
What?
That was a mistake. I've seen a photo of an MG convertible in a car
magazine. It's a stunning car with its chrome bumpers and wire wheels
matching the special body-line.
Yes,
I like it, but I have to return home sometime soon and make plans
for the future. I'll have been here for three years in December. My
plan for the rest of my stay is to finish my thesis by the end of
November. Then I'd like to tour around Shikoku and Kyushu for three
weeks in December.
