Virtual Tour of Japan

Introduction

You are planning to go to Japan for 2 weeks of travelling and sightseeing. You have bought a Japan Rail Pass which allows you unlimited travel on JR trains, and ferries.

Task

You will make a plan of your journey around the 4 main islands of Japan and write it up as an itinerary. You will start your journey from Narita airport near Tokyo and return from the same airport.

Process

Using the map of Japan make an itinerary of the places you want to visit

Using the Yahoo transit page make up a schedule of trains times

Using the Food search engine find something to eat where you will stay

Using the accomodation pages find somewhere to stay

Find out what the local products and souvenirs are for that region using the regional information pages

Fill in the itinerary form for each day

Submit the itinerary for evaluation to your teacher
